Delhi Nursery Admission 2024-25: The registration procedure for entry-level will start on 23rd November 2023 for general category students in private schools. According to the official statement of the Directorate of Education – The last date for submission of applications is 15th December 2023.
The first list for nursery admission will be announced on 12th December 2024. Economically weaker sections (EWS)disadvantaged group (DG) students and children with disabilities will receive 25% reservation of seats for nursery admissions. A separate list will include these students for admission.
As per the official statement – “all private unaided recognized schools admitting students in nursery, pre-primary and class 1 level shall reserve 25% seats for EWS/DG category students and children with disability as defined in RPWD Act,2016 ( under section 12(1) (C) of Right to Education Act 92009) at any entry-level classes.
For new admissions, guidelines are directed by the High Court, Delhi, order date 24/25/2012 in WP(C) No. 8434/2011 and circulated, Directorate’s Circular No. 2393-2004 dated 04/06/2012.
(Note – entry-level is classified as nursery, pre-primary, and class-1.)

Following are the eligibility criteria for Delhi Nursery Admission 2024-25
the minimum age for admission in nursery, pre-primary, and class-1 should be 3 years,4 years, and 5 years respectively.
the maximum age limit for admission in entry level classes( nursery, pre-primary, and class-1) should be less than 4 years, 5 years, and 6 years respectively. ( as per the notification.)
“The Age relaxation for admission process of children is up to 30 days in the minimum and maximum age limits for these classes” as the official notification states.
Schools could resolve the queries of parents between 13th January – 22nd January 2024. “ parents may approach the principal for seeking age relaxation through a manual application.” According to the official statement.
